ALIEXPRESS KYLIE LIPKIT REPLICA! ABSOLUTE STEAL OR COMPLETE DIVE?

Hello all!
So, I have been waiting for around a month for this gem to arrive, and it finally did, Kylie Cosmetics Lipkit in the shade Dolce K. I have been looking forward to testing this out and comparing it against my Kylie Lipgloss, and I am actually very suprised with how good this product is for such a low price compared to the real deal.

First of all, the packaging is spot on, it is a VERY good match to what I have seen of the real Kylie Lip Kit packaging, and if I didn't know it was a replica I would think it was genuine, but let me know what you think? The actual liquid lipstick tube feels cheaply made compared to the real deal, and it is a lot smaller than the real product. I have compared sizes to my lipgloss below.

The lipstick is a good colour and good match to the real, although the real is a lot browner and deeper, but it's still a good match and definitely buildable if you want to create a darker tone. The lip liner on the otherhand is HORRIBLE! The colour is a pale orangey, and doesn't match the lipstick at all, when I tried it on it was very obvious the tone was off!

When I applied the lipstick, it was quite streaky but once I put on a second coat it became opaque. However, it's quite drying and extremely hard to take off, so don't apply this if you are testing out lipsticks for a night out LOL, you might end up having to reapply your foundation :(.

This colour and formula is quite similar to NYX suede liquid lipsticks, so if you don't fancy the long shipping, then try out one their shades! I also have a blog post on NYX so check it out.

Overall I would give this product a 4/5, it's a nice colour, good match, inexpensive and if you haven't managed to jump on the Kylie Cosmetics band wagon yet, then this definitely makes you feel like you are part of the team!

Happy shopping!

ABH MODERN RENAISSANCE PALETTE

YES to this palette, can we just take a minute to have stare at this gorgeous palette! It is an absolute essential if you are a makeup addict like me.

The packaging is stunning too, a velvet texture with a magnetic close, it also comes with a really good brush which is nice and soft!

I swatched all 14 shades with only one swatch of colour, so you could see them against my skin tone! I can't wait to create some really nice looks with these shadows. The formula is so creamy, the glitter shades almost feel like they are gel infused. They are all so pigmented too, the vibrant and bold colours really do pop.

(top 7 shades)

(bottom 7 shades)

This is a palette for everyone, people that like to stay in the box with their makeup looks, and people that like to jump right out. I play it safe, but I want to be able to create bolder looks so I think this palette will really help me. It retails at £41 which is spot on for this palette, the quality of the shadows and how well thought out the colours are, you can't really go wrong with this purchase!

If you are an eyeshadow beginner, purchase this and play around!

KYLIE COSMETICS

So I was really reluctant to purchase from Kylie cosmetics, I think all the shades are pretty much dupe-able, and because of shipping to the UK, it is much easier to go out and buy something similar, and not have to wait weeks for it to arrive! But I caved in and bought 'Like' lipgloss, and if I am honest, I absolutely LOVE it! The product itself comes in a cardboard box, with no detail on the outside but when you open it, it has the Kylie logo which I'm sure you've all seen before, and a really cute card with a picture of Kylie on the back from her Lipgloss ad!

The colour itself is a gorgeous brown, perfect for any skin tone! The formula is a total win as well, it's not sticky and has great staying power. I didn't have any problems with the applicator either, except I do always prefer Doe Foot applicators for liquid lip products.

Now onto price point and shipping, it retails for $15, which is OK for the product, but I wouldn't say no to buying it for less (LOL). The shipping cost $14.95 and took 13 days from the order date to arrive, which isn't good, considering I purchase a lot from China and my deliveries are usually here in less than a week! Altogether I paid just over £20 for this lipgloss and shipping, which is so expensive but the product is good, and you're paying for the name of course!

'LIKE'

Overall, if you have the money and you want to purchase a gloss from Kylie cosmetics, go for it! It's a good product, over priced but nevertheless, a good product!

I hope you enjoyed this post, and if there are any other products you want me to review, leave me a comment below. I will see you in my next post!

SUNDAY FUNDAY

The sun was out and I was feeling fancy today, I try to always wear heels with my outfit because it glams up a casual look, and I also feel it helps with my posture and confidence! I don't ever wear higher than a 100mm in Christian Louboutin shoes because I just end up looking like I am on stilts (LOL).

Today I paired my well loved Christian Louboutin Nude Pigalle's, with grey on grey! I'm not really a Summer kind of a gal, I absolutely adore Winter, and I'm honestly clueless when it comes to Summer style. This faux leather jacket sees me through all seasons, and I have had it for a good few years, its perfect to throw on top of any outfit!

I bought this vest top a few years ago from H&M and I just absolutely love the fit of this, its perfect for the heat because it doesn't cling to your body, but again it's not super baggy and unflattering. It works really well with this bandeaus from Primark.
I haven't worn these skinny jeans for ages, but I love them, they fit amazingly and have a distressed edge at the bottom of the ankle, making this an edgy but classy outfit.

These Celine glasses are gorgeous, they wear well with any outfit as the colour is neutral all the way through (win!) My handbag is my trusty Prada bag, a true classic!

I hope you guys and gals liked this blog, just an insight to the type of outfits I will be wearing this Summer, keeping it simple, casual yet with that glam edge.

Shoes - Christian Louboutin Nude Pigalle 100mm
Jeans - Topshop Jamie Jeans Grey
Jacket - Topshop Faux Leather Jacket
Sunglasses - Celine (gift)
Handbag - Prada

SELFRIDGES SHOPPING!

So I have been doing some makeup shopping, as per usual, and I picked up some goodies at Selfridges Birmingham. Unfortunately, I cannot contain myself in Selfridges, I'm like a kid in a candy shop!

The first product I bought was two lip liners from Charlotte Tilbury in the shade - Iconic Nude and Pillow Talk, I absolutely love these liners, they are soft to apply and aren't drying at all! They are perfect to give you that extra umps! They retail at £16 each from selfridges.com (Left to right, pillow talk and iconic nude)

The next product I bought was the Nars Luminous All Day Powdered foundation in the shade Punjab, I wanted a powdered foundation to bring my makeup together, and this is a really nice one! I am normally the shade Barcelona in Nars foundations, but the sales assistant told me to go two shades lighter to stop my makeup looking dark! It retails at £33 from selfridges.com

Next up is my new favorite brush, again from Nars which is the Mie Kabuki brush which is perfect for powders! I absolute love it, it's super soft and glides along your face! It retails at £43 from selfridges.con

Next is the Giorgio Armani Illuminous Silk Foundation, I have been wanting to try this out for ages but haven't got round to purchasing it, I bought it in the shade 7.5 and I am yet to wear it as I really want to do a first impressions and full review on my YouTube channel first so keep an eye out for that! I also bought a gorgeous satin lipstick in the shade 200 and I am in love, this is totally my colour! The foundation retails at £37 and the lipstick retails at £27

I also visited the Urban Decay counter and purchased this b6 vitamin-infused complexion spray at 9.99 for a travel size. You spray it on before applying any makeup or primer and it just feels so refreshing! It also helps with redness and pore minimization (win!).

I also picked up my usual eyebrow pencil from Mac in the shade Brunette! I have been using this for ages and I have a love hate relationship with this product because it isn't retractable! But for some reason I can't stop buying it when it runs out! It retails at 14.00.

The full haul will be up on my YouTube channel by Friday! Thanks for reading!

MY FAVOURITE PURCHASES THIS WEEK

So this week I have only purchased makeup and skin care products, and I'm definitely loving blushers at the moment!

First up is a three piece set from Clinique called 'anti blemish solutions' it is for blemish or spot prone skin, it retails at £25 and is available from any Clinique concession. The set includes; a cleansing foam, clarifying lotion (and all-over clearing treatment), my skin is very sensitive however, products are working amazing so far! I am using the trio once everyday as part of my night time routine.

Next is a Gel Eyeliner I saw on a YouTube video, and normally I will use a liquid liner, but I'm loving this, and it's definitely easier to slay that cat eye! ;) Maybelline Gel Liner retails at £7.99 from Superdrug.com

So I don't really invest in an expensive mascara because I always wear false lashes, and I only really need mascara to blend my top lashes in with my extensions, or on the bottom lash. Maybelline Mascara Great Lash retails at £4.99 from Boots.com and is the perfect size for any makeup bag and its easy to chuck in your handbag too! It's good for the price, but if you use to much you can definitely end up with that 'spider leg' eyelash effect!

Hair oil! I normally use Salon Professional hair oil, but I've been wanting to try this out and it's actually really good! It retails at £9.99 from Superdrug.com, L'oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil is a medium consistency, and definitely makes your hair feel softer and looker shinier, so far so good!

Estee Lauder Doublewear Foundation in Honey Bronze, is my usual foundation purchase, but it is definitely a good feeling when you stock up on foundation, because when you wake up in the morning and start to beat your face and find out that your foundation is on the low low, it's never a good start to the day! So I always make sure I have a spare bottle knocking around. It retails at £30 from Debenhams.com (thumbs down for damaged packaging :-()

I've only just started getting into highlighters, so before I start splashing the cash, I wanted to try out a cheap highlighter so I could see if I like the result or not. This is the Revoloution Vivid Baked Highlighter in Peach Lights, it isn't super pigmented but what do you expect for £3, it does the job! I bought it from Superdrug.com

I also want to start building up my blusher collection, so I bought a rosey pink coloured blush from Bourjois Paris in the colour 33 - Lilas D'or, it's lovely and just adds a soft flush of colour to my cheeks which is exactly what I want! It retails for £7.99 from Superdrug.com

Next is a gold gel-infused eyeshadow from L'oreal Paris in the shade Golden Nude 211, it's a really nice colour just to press onto your eye lid, and the consistency is really nice thanks to the gel infusion! It retails for £5.49 from Superdrug.com

It wouldn't be a weekly favourites without a lipstick! I'm forever building my lipstick collection, and trying new brands, this is called Very Victoria by Charlotte Tilbury and it retails at £23 from Charlottetilbury.com, it's a really nice soft matte nude and definitely would compliment any skin complexion, it goes on really smoothly and doesn't dry out your lips! I will be using this product for a look on my channel soon!

Last but certainly not least, is this gorgeous blush compact by Yves Saint Laurent cosmetics in the shade Passion - 6, it retails at £33 from Debenhams.com and is a gorgeous rosey pink colour, its highly pigmented so a little goes a long way, and its buildable if you want a stronger colour! It is really lovely as a natural colour if you aren't up for a heavy make-up day as well!

I hope you enjoyed reading about this weeks favourite purchases, I'm always looking for new products to try so leave me some comments on what I should check out next!

Happy shopping

DIOR LIP MAXIMISER

This product is amazing! Why am I so late on the bandwagon? I've seen this product floating around for a while but never really bought into it, however I've been looking for more products to review and thought I would give it a go! I purchased the Dior Lip Maximiser from a Boots store, and you can get it from anywhere that stocks Dior cosmetics, it retails at £23 which is expensive but definitely worth it. I'ts a 6ml tube of product and is a very pale pink colour with some shimmer, it has a fresh mint scent to it and can be used under lipstick, or on top as a gloss for volume and shine.

On initial application, you get a slight tingle which is slightly addictive because it definitely feels like you lips are plumping up!

Without any product on

With only the product on

With the product on top of a liquid lipstick (NYX Lip Lingerie in previous post)

Swatch of the product

If you don't yet own a lip maximiser, go and get one! It's worth the money, and makes your lips pop. Definitely a must have essential in your makeup bag.

Happy Shopping

OOTD - GOODBYE WINTER

Even though it's coming into Spring, somedays are still quite cold, I live near the beach and some green areas, so I often go on walks with my family and this outfit is perfect for a chilly day.

I wore my hair up in a bun to keep the attention on the collar of my jacket, and also to keep a clean simple look to the outfit.

I pretty much always wear all black, so black skinny jeans where my go-to to pair with this jacket!

A black leather bag, and black leather boots go perfectly with this outfit, and I wanted to keep the consistency.

Outfit details -
Jacket - Moncler (it was given to me as a gift so I'm unaware of the price)
Bag - Galleria Saffiano - Prada (Retails at £1295)
Jeans - Joni - Topshop (Retails at £36)
Boots - Topshop (Bought in the sale at £25)

I hope you like this post, I'm not a huge fashionista, and my style is very simple, I don't wear a lot of colour and I like to play it safe! But if you want to see more, leave a comment.
