DIOR LIP MAXIMISER

This product is amazing! Why am I so late on the bandwagon? I've seen this product floating around for a while but never really bought into it, however I've been looking for more products to review and thought I would give it a go! I purchased the Dior Lip Maximiser from a Boots store, and you can get it from anywhere that stocks Dior cosmetics, it retails at £23 which is expensive but definitely worth it. I'ts a 6ml tube of product and is a very pale pink colour with some shimmer, it has a fresh mint scent to it and can be used under lipstick, or on top as a gloss for volume and shine.

On initial application, you get a slight tingle which is slightly addictive because it definitely feels like you lips are plumping up!

Without any product on

With only the product on

With the product on top of a liquid lipstick (NYX Lip Lingerie in previous post)

Swatch of the product

If you don't yet own a lip maximiser, go and get one! It's worth the money, and makes your lips pop. Definitely a must have essential in your makeup bag.

Happy Shopping

OOTD - GOODBYE WINTER

Even though it's coming into Spring, somedays are still quite cold, I live near the beach and some green areas, so I often go on walks with my family and this outfit is perfect for a chilly day.

I wore my hair up in a bun to keep the attention on the collar of my jacket, and also to keep a clean simple look to the outfit.

I pretty much always wear all black, so black skinny jeans where my go-to to pair with this jacket!

A black leather bag, and black leather boots go perfectly with this outfit, and I wanted to keep the consistency.

Outfit details -
Jacket - Moncler (it was given to me as a gift so I'm unaware of the price)
Bag - Galleria Saffiano - Prada (Retails at £1295)
Jeans - Joni - Topshop (Retails at £36)
Boots - Topshop (Bought in the sale at £25)

I hope you like this post, I'm not a huge fashionista, and my style is very simple, I don't wear a lot of colour and I like to play it safe! But if you want to see more, leave a comment.

OOTD w/ SOHANA

So today I was helping my friend Sohana (@sohanax on instagram), with a meeting she had to go to and we also went into town for some retail therapy! We dressed casual but swapped our flats for some heels!

As you may know I basically live in black or grey! And I don't venture outside my comfort zone much. This outfit is really comfortable and casual but the heels definitely make it more dressy and give it a pop of colour, perfect for a day or evening look.

Outfit details:
Faux Leather Jacket - Topshop - £55
Grey ribbed crop top - H&M - £14.99
Black Joni Jeans - Topshop - £36
Heels - Debout 100 patent/PVC - Christian Louboutin - £565
Bag - Galleria Safiano - Prada - £1295
Sunglasses - RayBan - £140

I hope you liked this post!

FAVOURITE PURCHASES THIS WEEK

Hey guys and girls, I'm back with my favourite purchases of this week, and my initial review on new products! Lets get into it....

First up I have the biggest purchase of the week, an iMac, I purchased this from a Stormfront store which is an official Apple product reseller. This is my first Apple computer I've bought but I always use my boyfriends MacBook so we decided it would be good to get one we could both use. It retails at £1599 and so far I'm loving it, it will be great to use when I'm editing YouTube videos.

Next, I have had my eye on this palette for a while now, and I picked it up on Friday! I'm yet to use it but i'm in love already, I really only wear natural colours on my eyes so this palette is perfect for me! (Retail: £32 www.debenhams.com)

                                                                  (without flash)

                                                                (with flash)

I will do a full review with swatches and looks in a seperate post and on my YouTube channel of my favourite natural eyeshadow palettes.

My next favourite product this week is this lip liner by Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani called ex-girlfriend, I absoloutely love the packaging, and the colour of the liner, its a nude and applies amazingly! (Retail: £14 www.feelunique.com)

Next is Beige Tribute by YSL, this is something I saw swatched online after looking for a new high end lipstick. The finish is satin and its a lovely beige pink colour, it applies amazingly and you don't need to apply a lot! (Retail: £26 www.feelunique.com)

My last favourite product of this week is a ring light I will be using for filming YouTube videos, I bought it off Amazon after a recommendation from my friend Niko, I didn't want anything too expensive, so this Neewer light was perfect for me. (Retail: £80 www.amazon.co.uk)

ALL ABOUT MY BLUERIBBON HAIR

This review is long overdue! If you have been following my social media, you would have seen that for the past few years (ever since I have been wearing extensions) I have been wearing Bleuribbon hair exclusively. From my long blonde curls, to my dark blonde straight hair, Blueribbon have kept my hair looking flawless. I will post all my hair looks and specifications including the contact details of the hairstylists!

First is my favourite look of all time, my long blonde curl hair!

This was 20 inches x2 and 18 inches x1 in Brazilian deep wave, natural brown which I bleached and toned myself. I had a partial weave put in, and I think it was around 5 tracks. This was nowhere near enough, as my natural hair was shorter and I could have done with purchasing another bundle in a 14/16 inch! However, I made it work and this is when I fell in love with Bleuribbon hair. Being able to achieve my desired colour so clean and vibrant (while remaining strong) I knew I made the right decision to purchase from Blueribbon.
(The hair was installed at a hairdressers in South London)

This was 22 inches x2, 18 inches x1 and 16 inches x1 in Brazilian deep wave, which was again dyed and styled by myself. It was installed by a hairstylist from South London, a full head weave with some of my natural hair left out as a part. Unfortunately, this was the last time I wore a sewn in weave because it eventually pulled all of my hair out! (sad face)... But that story is for a YouTube video!

I then found out about U-Part wigs (I wish I had done this from the start) and reached out to BBC Hair Series 1 winner (and celebrity stylist) Marvin to create my first beautiful U-Part wig which was 22 inches x 2, 20 inches x 1 and 18 inches x 1. I coloured my hair myself and this time went for more of a 'rooty' colour, to give my hair a break from scalp bleaches! The wig was bleached and toned shortly after collection, I was so happy with Marvin's work as he is amazing at what he does! I loved this wig!

Contact Marvin via email at info@hairbyhimuk.com or 07904666001

I then decided to go even darker with my hair and got into contact with Eugenie, (an independent stylist based in South London) who caught my attention over Instagram after seeing the amazing wigs she had made! I messaged her and told her what I wanted, and she told me she could make exactly that! I shipped my hair to her (20 inches x2, 18 inches x1 and 16 inches x1 Peruvian loose wave) with the desired colour shade and within just 5 days I had received exactly what I wanted back to my doorstep! Eugenie has been making my U-Parts ever since.

This is my new hairstyle! It is 22 inches x2, 18 inches x1, 16 inches x1 in Brazilian deep wave in natural black (which I dyed to a warm honey blonde with some natural highlights) The tutorial will be up on YouTube soon. Eugenie made this U-Part for me and it fits perfectly.
Contact Eugenie on eugenze@hotmail.fr or via Instagram @eugenze.

Overall I would highly recommend Bleuribbon hair to anybody that asks where to go for extensions/bundles. They provide great quality hair at reasonable prices and it lasts for ages.

NYX LIP LINGERIE REVIEW

So I finally found out that you can purchase NYX Lip Lingerie matte liquid lipsticks from Boots.com and they have the full collection! So I ordered 3 from online to collect from my local store.

I ordered: Embellishment (02), Ruffle Trim (04), Push-Up (06). They retail at £6.50 each

Embellishment is a purple-grey colour and looks so different online and on instagram than it does on the lips! I really don't like this colour for my skin tone, it's not flattering at all!

Ruffle Trim is one of my favourite colours because it is so similar to my natural lip colour, and it is wearable with any makeup look, day or night.

Push-Up is a sexy nude, I really like it and although it is a lighter colour than I normally go for, I think it flatters my skin tone well.

Getting into the formula and durability, it applies very smoothly, but cracks easily and can be quite patchy if you don't apply enough. Saying that, it stays on for ages and is almost impossible to wipe off (I used micellar water and a cotton pad). I would recommend buying from this collection if you are looking for something reasonably cheap to just chuck on, maybe for some snaps or if you are popping out quickly.

Happy shopping ;)

FAVOURITE PURCHASES THIS WEEK

I've bought a few cool things that I wanted to share with you, and talk about how I'm getting on with them!

First up I purchased two new makeup brushes, the brush on the left is the Bold Metals Collection by Real Techniques 301 Flat Contour brush. I absolutely love it! It's so lightweight and fluffy and blends out creams really nicely also the colour is gorgeous! It retails at £22.00 and I purchased it from Boots.com as they are currently offering 25% off!

The brush on the right is 168 angled brush from MAC, I went into the MAC store where I live and asked the sales assistant to recommend me a good bronzer brush, and this is what she recommended me! It's smaller than my usual bronzer brush but it blends amazingly and distributes colour easily. It retails at £28.00

My next two products where recommended to me by my close friends Tazmin and Donya, so I thought I would give them a try! The product on the left is the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder which retails at £29 and I purchased it from Selfridges, I have used it a few times and I absolutely love it! I will be doing a blog post on this setting powder vs Ben Nye setting powder so keep an eye out for that.

The product on the right is Urban Decay' Chocolate Soleil matte bronzer in medium - deep, I have mixed feelings about this product and I'm not sure whether I like it having no shimmer to it, but it applies nicely and smells like chocolate, yummy! It retails at £25 and I purchased it at Debenhams.

My next product is a perfume my boyfriend bought me when we where out shopping, I hadn't seen it before but it smells amazing! If you like deeper scents with a soft floral undertone then you will love this, it also came with a small leather zip pouch as a complimentary gift. I absolutely love the colours as well, pinky beige, black and gold! What more do you need? It is the 30ml size, it retails for £42 and was purchased from Fenwicks, Canterbury.

My next purchase was the Urban Decay Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion, I'm sure you have all heard about this eyeshadow primer, but if you haven't, seriously check it out! It's amazing, it has a great consistency and it keeps your eyeshadow from creasing and moving all day!
It retails at £16 and I purchased it from Debenhams.

My last purchase where these gorgeous leather ankle boots from Topshop, I have been looking for a pair of boots like this for a long time and could never seem to find them at the right time. But I found them and for only £25 in the Topshop sale, so I had to get them! They fit really nicely and look good with a pair of black super skinny jeans.

I hope you liked this post, leave a comment below of things you would like to see on my blog.
